STAY TUNED FOR UPDATE

21 04 2012

Hi

I haven’t updated this web site since 2010. I have been involved with other aspects of life. However I have been continually exploring the Nature Warrior practice myself over the last year or so. Please stay tuned as I will be updating this site in the near future. Feel free to contact me.

Move Forward. Explore New Pathways.

8 08 2010

A Nature Warrior journey combines many elements and includes a process to heighten and train our awareness. I want to introduce just one of the fundamental elements of Nature Warrior – “Move Forward and Explore New Pathways”.

“Move Forward”. To move forward is to embody the warrior energy and engage what is in front of you, the terrain, the challenge, the feeling, the pathway, the emotion….. Movement becomes fluid and is filled with total presence, focus and purpose. We choose to move and we choose to stop. There is no grey area. Speed is not important and will vary according to the situation, our feeling and our ability in the moment. (Of course nature humbles us regularly with little (or big) trips and slips and eventually we also become skilled in ‘slipping up’ with total presence.) The training builds our ability to act. To act swiftly, definitely and precisely.

“Explore New Pathways”. Always gravitating to new pathways energises and enlivens us and keeps us spontaneous and open to life.  Whilst journeying in nature the pathways call us and we just follow in the moment, using our intuitive sense and allowing our connection with ourselves and the landscape to guide us.

Try it out, in any surroundings. Just for fun, when you next get out of a car, move forward (remember speed is not important) and choose a new pathway to get to your house, or shop or wherever. Replace routine pathways with new pathways and move forward.

HALF DAY JOURNEY – SAT 14TH AUGUST 1PM – 5PM

Nature’s Work of Art

3 06 2010

“to realize that the beauty of nature is not a mirage of imagination, but reflects the joy of the infinite and thus draws us to lose ourselves into it”, Rabindranath Tagore

As we set off on today’s journey  we were immediately full of the laughter of wonder, of beauty. We moved with utmost precision as the few days of rain had left many surfaces slippery. We adapted, slowed down and found safe movements often using the hands and traveling with ‘all fours’. Strength and vunerability. Always moving to new pathways , unchartered territory , I discovered caves and outcrops I had never noticed before in this area. Bigger jumps, thick vines. I danced the canopy, full of light and life, and I danced the decaying leaves and fronds below. I stroked the smooth rock at the bottom of the creek. Intimately earth. Ate particularly sweet lily pillies. Held large seeds. We spoke. We roared. We listened. We sweated……………………………

Weekly Session

17 05 2010

A regular weekly afternoon session takes place every Thursday 1.45pm – 5pm. $20

Last Thursday’s journey was in a new location in a section of forest that had a very undisturbed energy. Enclosed canopy along the creek with many incredible trees and rock formations. Vivid red rocks in the creek, a butterfly emerging from it’s cocoon, climbing high in a fig. We ran, we walked, we crawled….moving in the timeless zone. We moved alone. We moved together. Moving forward. Connecting. Exploring new pathways.

Being consumed by busy-ness is not part of my vision. I choose to make time for this experience.

If you wish to participate please read ‘Session Info’ and please RSVP so I know you are coming and to receive meeting point location.

Stay tuned for upcoming dates on weekends

Evolving Site

4 05 2010

This blog is for all info and latest news on Nature Warrior Training, an original movement form that involves moving in nature with the precision of a warrior and the mindfulness of a monk. This web site is new so the look of it and content will evolve over the next few weeks. I am glad to have somewhere to put up the basic information about Nature Warrior.
